THIS IS AN IN PERSON CLASS!

Animals and creatures are some of the toughest characters to voice. An actor has to be able to run the full gamut of emotions through sounds like grunts, squeaks, snorts and a whole host of other non verbal sounds. David Droxler has quickly made a name for himself in NY Animation especially when it comes to these challenging roles.

In this class David will have actors try their hand at voicing animals and creatures while also sharing his own tips and tricks on how to use your body, face and the microphone to help you bring life to these fun characters. Come ready to play and learn.

Dave Droxler voices numerous characters for animation, radio, podcasts, and games. On Nick Jr’s Emmy nominated show “Santiago Of The Seas”, Dave is the voice of Santiago’s sidekick frog, Kiko, along with 20 other animal characters. He also plays Ranger Nat, Simon, and Moobert the cow on Sesame’s Emmy nominated HBO Max show “Mecha Builders”, with a new season set to appear on season 55 of Sesame Street. For Nick Jr’s “Sunny Day”, he’s the voice of Suzette the horse and numerous other animals and kid characters. He’s also voiced a parrot on PBS’s “Alma’s Way” and for Apple TV’s “Get Rolling With Otis” he voiced Polly the dog and Frisky the cat. In a bit of role reversal, for “Dodo Kids” he does the human voice of actual animals. Dave has narrated numerous games on “Noggin”. Coming up next is “Bea’s Block” for Sesame playing Nat, Bruno the dog, and literally every animal that appears on the show. Select NY Theater credits include the Off-Broadway premiere of his one-man show, “Robin and Me: My Little Spark Of Madness” at Abingdon Theatre where he played several characters, including Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Jack Nicholson, and Eddie Izzard. Dave’s other play, “Walken On Sunshine”, premiered at FringeNYC, winning the “TheaterMania Audience Favorite Award” and “Outstanding Excellence in Acting” for Dave’s performance, where he voiced Christopher Walken. TV/Film credits include "How to Get Away With Murder" and “Limitless”. www.davedroxler.com
